Hardy Perennial Geraniums are easy to grow in any garden soil, whether acid or alkaline.
Most are happy in full sun or half shade and are also tolerant of drought. Some are even drought resisitant, making them useful for dry shade. They offer attractive flowers, some over long periods and can make ideal ground cover plants.
They are easy to care for, requiring only a tidy with shears if looking straggly and will reward with fresh new foliage after only a few days, and maybe even a second flush of flowers. They come in a vast variety of forms: from neat mounds to vigorous ground cover. Some will even climb into neighbouring shrubs creating a very effective display.
